This is 16 mm film direct film combined with a SVHS vision mixer.
I was speculating on how communication might change when email became mainstream. I remember not being entirely sure at this time how email worked and I certainly didn't know anyone who used it.
The work is a technophobic response to the fear that somehow the richness of the written word might someday be reduced into a line of bits in email conversation.
